Nice article here that I think does a great job of explaining the benefits of developing a solid, full range-of-motion squat. This is challenging for many, if not most of us, due to many reasons (mobility deficits, strength deficits, past injury, etc.). So as with most things, let’s approach it in a progressive fashion. Often, taking a step back and going over the basics and mastering them is the surest path to mastery and expertise.
If you ask anyone who’s considered an “expert” or “master” in their field, whatever it is, most if not all will say what makes them so good is that they make sure they do the basics VERY WELL……….and they come with consistently working at them, even when you’ve already “mastered” them.
